Sunrise, sunset, on deck near the beach, the beach was very cool! Water is cold but enjoyable, a bit of mosquitoes. We enjoyed our stay. We did relax and the house was perfect. We were 3 families of 4 and were not stepping on each other’s toes. The quiet environment is ideal for relaxing! We had a great lobster dinner. We went to Machiasport at BBS Lobster company (easy to find, and well priced). Wayne was of great help.

It was a picture perfect week! Everyday high-mid seventy’s , lows mid 40’s , light breeze

Daily walks along the shoreline looking for shells, sea glass, and little treasures. Bike rides with the kids and kayaking in Holmes Bay on high tide. The ambitious ones even kayaked out to Hog Island and observed the seals on more than one occasion. Drove to Lubec, visited Quody light house and Monica’s Chocolates.   Met a couple from Concord, NH staying in a house down the shore always, we met them while walking the shoreline. They had been out kayaking.

Everyone we met while in Cutler, Machias, and Lubec were very nice and helpful. Most of all, we enjoyed spending time together surrounded by the endless beauty and comfort of Woodland Pointe and Holmes Bay. The long walks and talks on the shoreline and the quiet comfort of the home at night. It has been a great week! The weather was perfect and the sunsets, spectacular!!!!
A super time was had by all. The kids loved exploring the mud flats and the parents walking the shoreline twice daily, great exercise, with some biking and kayaking thrown in.

The continuous breeze was mesmerizing and kept the bugs away. The house is roomy and extremely comfortable. None of us want to leave.
A trip that began with question marks and unknowns has proven to be fun, relaxing, and a fabulous week together! It is truly a special place and now both the adults and the children have memories that will last forever and be shared often!
Rested, relaxed, and filled with special memories!

8-17-06 to 8-26-06 Terence, Peg and kids Alexandra, Michael, Catherine and Brittany (friend of Alexandra) from New Jersey to escape… this was the perfect place for an escape!

Perfect, sunny, cool at night with breeze and one day of rain.
What we did: Wild Blueberry Festival = fun! Reading on the deck, Campobello = beautiful and interesting, Jasper Beach = picked up a lot of rocks, Roque Bluffs = wonderful relaxing, whale watching on Island Cruises = AWESOME! Bold Coast Trail = SPECTACULAR! Lots of time down on the beach here…so great!

Favorite moments were watching the kids play, running down the path, through the woods, toward the water.

Note from Brittany:
My favorite part was the Wild Blueberry Festival. It was so much fun! I never knew I liked blueberries.
Note from Alexandra:
My favorite part was going whale watching! I got to sit in the front of the boat!
Note from Michael:
My favorite part was whale watching! (he drew a picture of a whale)
Note from Catherine:
Playing in the woods, the beach here, seeing the whales coming up, riding in the boat going so fast! Seeing the lighthouses. I liked the upstairs of the house the best.
Note from Mom:
It’s so quiet except for the sounds of the woods and water and birds. It reminds me of my childhood on Lake of the Woods in Ontario. No insomnia here!
9-30-06 to 10-7-06 Vikkie and Jim and our pugs Emma and Tilly from New Jersey

The weather was awesome, 60’s during the day and cool at night. We will never be able to hike in New Jersey again after hiking the mountains here with all of the great views of the ocean, cliffs, fall foliage, seals on the rocks!!!!!! Each place is greater than the next! The house here is too perfect from beginning to end. Wayne, thank you so much for our special surprise when we arrived! (gift basket and flowers from property manager) We are most impressed with all of the services provided. Only one regret….we have to go home!!!!!! Ps one more regret, we didn’t get to see any puffins but we will next year at the right time of year, they are all gone for the winter. Bye puffins, have a good trip.

10-7-06 to 10-14-06 Jeff and Connie from Columbus, OH

We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck every morning, nice and quiet! Watching sunset while eating dinner. Loved driving the back roads and seeing all the little towns, which ever one had a beautiful church. The fall is the BEST time to come. The colors were beautiful! It only rained one day. The house is great, love the openness, the French doors and big windows. Makes you feel like you’re outside!
It was very nice to have Wayne com and welcome you along with giving us fresh flowers and a gift basket! What a nice touch!!!!!
I would have to say that the 19 hour drive was well worth it! I did take 4 rolls of film. I’m sure I’ll blow one up for a picture to remember this beautiful place. It will be hard to pick one to enlarge!

6-16-07 to 6-23-07 Eight girl friends from Ohio, Minnesota, and Illinois

The house is beautiful! We had an absolutely wonderful time. We really enjoyed the beach at low tide – collected many pretty rocks. A good time was had by all, much laughter! The week went bye much too fast!

6-23-07 to 6-29-07 David and Family from Chicago, Illinois

Favorite memories: Attempting to eat lobster the “right way” (that was interesting) , walks on the beach (low and high tide) reading books, playing card games.

We couldn’t believe our eyes… the house was much more beautiful than the pictures. It is neat and tidy, has wonderful views at every time of day, spacious, private, homey, beautifully decorated (we love Ikea too), inviting and so much more! We enjoyed walking across the Atlantic Ocean on foot at low tide! We saw a doe and two fauns on the road pretty close to the house. The week went by way too fast, and we hope we are able to visit the beautiful state of Maine and Woodland Pointe again some time soon!

Thank you for the goodie basket and flowers! What a welcome! Your binders of resources were quite helpful and interesting.

7-7-07 to 7-13-07 The Norfleet’s, Bishop’s, Blake’s, Stanley and Jack from Indiana and Florida, arrived by motorcycle

Warm welcome into this beautiful house. Very nice, thank you! The goodies were enjoyed by all. People in Maine are very kind. The flowers that Wayne left lasted all week!

Favorite moments were watching the beautiful sun sets, seeing the cute seals, and watching the majestic eagles. The water coming in at high tide and going out a low tide. How quiet and private it is. Kenny walked way out into the bay during low tide. He seemed small compared to the rocks he walked up to. When the water came in at high tide, the rocks disappeared before our eyes, AMAZING! We’ve never watched anything like that before. TOTALLY BREATHTAKING!

We ride all over this country, there isn’t a bad state. They are all great in their own special way. My only regret is that we can’t pick up this house and move it back home where we live. I loved the house!!!!!! It is very visitor friendly. The upstairs bedrooms are very quaint.
